Monkeys!
A little crowd of people was all the zoo had attracted today, and it was mostly little kids screaming at their parents, wanting ice cream, or to see the snakes, or the dolphins, and on the list went. Jennifer knew where she wanted to go, she wanted to see the monkeys, hell, what was a zoo for? The monkeys actrually did things, unlike the snakes, and other animals that hid behind rocks and such. So she began walking, wearing a pair of shorts and a light colored t-shirt because it was hot that day.
Sighing, she pulled open the door to the monkey house and got the full blast of the smell of monkeys. She was used to this smell, oddly enough...Not because of living with Mike, although he did have some pretty werid smells, just do his laundry...No, because she took her brothers and her cousin, Nicole to the zoo at least five times a month, not that she hated it, it was quite fun, because they didn't whine, knowing they wouldn't get their way like that. Jennifer stoped outside of a certain monkey's cage and stuck her tounge out at it. Being used to having little kids with her at the zoo, she tended to do odd things, hell, she did odd things everywhere, but that was Jennifer, and there was no changing her. She watched as a monkey swung from one branch to another and then droped, running to some of its food and picking out what looked like a piece of watermelon and going back up in its tree to eat it.

Melissa had gone to the Zoo 'cause she was bored mainly. Her brother was busy swooning over 'Aphrodite' Melissa couldn't stand it when he got obsessed with girls like he did. That's why he lived in a trailer and she lived in the dorms at school...well at least she would once she found someone to live with. Even with her job she didn't make enough to pay the rent by herself. She knew she should have been dorm searching but she was getting tired of 'no room' or 'I don’t know you go away'. Was no one friendly in Escapade? Well she shouldn't say that since her brother was there and so was her cousins...somewhere. She hadn't been sent to 'raise' Leo, instead she had opted to come along for the ride. She was tired of Oxford and wanted to get out and go to the States. Plus she was highly amused by people's reactions to her accent. Although since she was at teh Zoo and talking to the lemurs not a lot of people were hearing her accent, the glass was too thick for the lemurs to hear and anyone else was too far away.
Today she was wearing a long sleeved purple shirt, the sleeves were too long so she had them crumpled up in her fists. She also had on a pair of real Bell-Bottoms, they were a tad snug since they were her Mom's and her mom was just a little smaller than she was; but they weren’t uncomfortably tight by any means. Her outfit left her hot but it wasn't horrible and she didn't feel like flaunting her body. Amazing, someone from Britain who isn't a cocky bastard willingly to show off to anyone. Her medium to short length hair was flipped out at the bottom and at her layers giving it a kinda wind swept look. Out of the corner of her eye she saw another girl come into the Monkey house and then made faces at the monkey. Melissa couldn't help but chuckle and she began to mozy over to where the girl was. "I don't think he was paying attention." Her British accent was painfully obvious but she tried not to point it out or anything. She smiled good-naturedly hoping she had came up to a friendly person and not some demented crazy person.

Jennifer brushed a lock of hair from her face as she watched the monkeys move and play in their own special way. Hearing the voice next to her she looked over at the girl with the accent, but didn't point it out, as she had so many times and gotten, "What the hell do you care?" from them. She smiled at the memory, she didn't care, as she often didn't care about many things, unless it was something she really cared about...I know, shes a confusing person. "No, he wasn't, hes too busy eating." Jennifer replied to the statment, again looking down to the animals behind the glass. Smiling Jennifer was happy again. For the past few weeks, she hadn't been alone at all, always running into a friend of her boyfriend for that matter, that she had been lonly for company when she finally got a chance to get away from everyone. Thats what she though she needed, to be away from everyone, but it made her alone, and that was odd after not being alone for so long. "I'm Jennifer." Jennifer introduced, not looking to the girl beside her, still looking upon the monkeys with interest. "And if you're new, welcome to Escapade!"

Melissa was glad that the girl didn't say anything about her accent, she would of probably snapped at her about it. She didn't like being mean but her accent was sensitive and she didn't enjoy being teased about it or anything like that. Reaching up she tucked her hair behind her ear before her hand retreated back into her sleeve; she was just more comfy that way. At her words she chuckled again. "Yeah, seems so" She nodded absently and stared through the glass as well examining the monkeys. When the girl introduced herself it was Melissa's natural reaction to smile, she was a polite person; she was a British girl after all. "I'm Melissa, lovely to meet you, and yes I am new...well close to new. Only been here about a month..." She laughed at herself and rested a covered hand against the glass. Ok so being comfortable wasn't the only reason she was holding her sleeves; she usually wore black leather gloves all the time because she didn't like to expose her hands to the sun and all the other germs out there but when she had stayed up a little too late watching TV the night before and had had to rush out of the house to get to Petco on time so she forgot her gloves. She wasn't at Petco now since she only worked half days on the weekends.

Jennifer nodded, "Gotta eat." She said, she'd gained back most of the weight she'd lost durning her little scare, and she looked so much healther than what she did, and she hadn't had a cigerette since then. She took out her keys and fiddled with them, getting the urge to have one, Damnit, this sucks! She thought to herself and then shook her head out of her thoughts to look at Melissa as she spoke to Jen. Jennifer nodded, "I've been here two years and I still feel like I'm new. And its a pleasure to meet you." Jennifer then placed her hands in her pockets, needing a cigerette so bad she thought she'd explode. "Going cold turkey sucks..." She thought out-loud, and didn't even realize it, as she wasn't these days.
